High Accuracy Quartz Watches

Divided by HAQ Method

Aside from the high frequency watches, dual oscillators (/twin quartz) and ETA TC movements, the thermocompensation method employed in each of the following watches is assumed, based on the weight of current opinion and the balance of available data.

* There is evidence to suggest that the Citizens (AQ1000-58B, Exceed E510 and Exceed 0330) may use frequency adjustment as well as or instead of count correction, but I haven't ironed this out, yet, and will therefore keep the table as it is, for now. If and when a clearer picture of Citizen's methods emerges, I shall update this page. Likewise for Seiko, Hoptroff and Morgenwerk: if I find evidence that they use a particular technique other than as described above, I shall update this page.
