Dating from the very first year in which Seiko produced these ground-breaking thermocompensated watches, this Superior was also one of the tightest-spec'd Seikos ever produced. This particular watch has joined my collection not so very long after the first Superior that I acquired. What makes this watch different, however, is that it appears to be in more original condition: the case sides are brushed, not polished, and the bracelet is original.

The frequency of the auxiliary oscillator is not known for sure, but based on a comparison of power requirements between the various Twin Quartz watches in my collection, I believe it is reasonable to assume that the frequency is 40 kHz.

UPDATE - I sold this watch as part of an exercise in trimming-down the collection and releasing some funds. It is, however, one of the few models which I would actually quite like to re-purchase at some point in the future.

Some details for this watch are missing because it has not completed comprehensive testing.
