Pulsar PSR 10 (2)
cal. Y301
Factory Spec. 10 SPY
Thermoinsensitive: High Frequency (196 kHz)
User Adjustable: No (pattern cutting possible)
This was the second PSR 10 that I bought, at a time when I thought they were incredibly rare and any opportunity to pick one up shouldn't be missed. Plus, the back of the watch (in the seller's photos) seemed to show that the watch was in better condition than the one I had already acquired. Overall, however, this second PSR 10 wasn't really in better condition and one or other of these two watches is now surplus to requirements.
I have said that the PSR 10's rate is not adjustable, however the manual suggests that altering the rate may be possible by pattern cutting. Pattern cutting involves an irreversible snipping of tiny wires. The rate can be changed only by rather limited amounts, and the pattern can be cut only twice. In practical effect, then, I do not consider the rate to be 'adjustable'.
Some details for this watch may be missing because it has not yet undergone comprehensive testing.
