Pulsar PSR 20
cal. Y302
Factory Spec. 20 SPY
Thermoinsensitive: High Frequency (196 kHz)
User Adjustable: No (pattern cutting possible)
This watch is currently in the UK and I have no photo of except those taken by my brother.
He is not a noted fashion photographer.
I missed a chance to pick one of these up when I was originally pursuing a PSR 10, because I thought the PSR 20 was a poor relation. I later came to understand that the PSR 20 is considered to be even rarer and more highly sought after than its better spec'd cousin. So, as soon as I saw another one for sale, I bought it. This is a watch that ticks a box on the collection list, but doesn't rock my world. I shall time it when I next go back to the UK.
I have said that the PSR 20's rate is not adjustable, however the manual suggests that altering the rate may be possible by pattern cutting. Pattern cutting involves an irreversible snipping of tiny wires. The rate can be changed only by rather limited amounts, and the pattern can be cut only twice. In practical effect, then, I do not consider the rate to be 'adjustable'.
Some details for this watch may be missing because it is kept several thousand miles away, in the UK.
